Montrie Rucker Adams, Chief Visibility Officer
Montrie Rucker Adams, APR, Fellow PRSA, DTM, MBA, is the president and “Chief Visibility Officer” of Visibility Marketing Inc., a firm dedicated to helping organizations communicate the right messages to the right audiences. For more than 25 years, she has guided businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies in becoming more visible through strategic marketing communications and public relations campaigns that raise awareness, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and drive measurable results. Her client portfolio includes the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Ohio Department of Health, Cleveland Municipal School District, Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, and Kent State University.
In addition to her communications expertise, Adams is an accomplished writer and editor. She has contributed to publications such as The Plain Dealer, Women of Color Devotional Bible, CODE, Career & Lifestyle and The Black Professional magazines, BlackAmericaWeb.com, and Kaleidoscope magazine, where she also served as Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief.
A committed civic leader, Adams serves on the Boards of The St. Lukes Foundation and the African American Philanthropy Committee. She is a former Board member of the Better Business Bureau, Breakthrough Schools, and Reach Success. She served as president of the Board of Directors for Continue Life Inc., a homeless shelter and transitional housing program for young mothers, and East End Neighborhood House. Her previous service includes leadership on the Case Western Reserve University Flora Stone Mather Center for Women’s Community Advisory Board and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), where she is a Fellow. Adams is also a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association.
Known as The Dream Sherpa, Adams inspires others to pursue their passions and goals. She is the author of Just Do Your Dream! A 7-Step Guide to Help You Do What You Always Wanted, which encourages readers to turn long-held aspirations into reality. Over 250 videos are loaded on the Just Do Your Dream! YouTube channel.
